What you get,and what we promise.

Short, because a one-van business should not need a solicitor to buy a website.

These terms cover everything sold on wincustomers.co.uk. Outstanding Group Ltd is the company you are contracting with; its number and registered office are at the bottom of every page.

Who you are buying from

Everything on this site is sold by Outstanding Group Ltd, trading as WinCustomers. The company number and registered office are in the footer of every page.

Contact us at hello@wincustomers.co.uk. We do not run a phone line, and we would rather say that than have one nobody answers.

What we sell

Each package on the site says what is included and what it costs. The price you see is the price you pay — there is no setup fee on any package, and no fee for stopping.

The monthly package is rolling. No minimum term, no contract, cancel any month you like. It stops at the end of the month you have already paid for.

Anything yearly is not. There are two yearly options and they work the same way: the £249 plan and the £49.90 mailbox. Each buys twelve months, each is two months cheaper than paying monthly, and that is the trade: both are a 12-month commitment, paid up front, and months you do not use are not refunded if you leave early. We would rather put that in bold here than have you find it out in month three. If you want to be able to walk away at any point, take the monthly version of either.

Your fourteen-day right to change your mind applies to the yearly package exactly as it does to everything else — see Changing your mind below. A twelve-month term does not remove it, and nothing in these terms is meant to.

Payment

Payment is taken by Stripe. We never see your card number.

One-off packages are charged once. Monthly packages are charged each month on the date you started, until you cancel.

Changing your mind

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have fourteen days from ordering to change your mind, without giving a reason.

There is one thing worth understanding, because it is where most people get caught out elsewhere. If you ask us to start inside those fourteen days — and most people do, because they want the work done — then:

  • If we have not started, you get all of it back.
  • If we have done part of it, we can charge for the part we did.
  • Once it is finished and delivered at your request, the fourteen days no longer applies.

We will tell you which of those you are in before we start, not after. If you would rather we waited the fourteen days before touching anything, say so and we will.

Domain names are the exception everyone has: once a domain is registered in your name it cannot be handed back, because it is yours and the registry has already taken the fee.

To cancel, email hello@wincustomers.co.uk. One line is enough.

What we will and will not promise

What we will do: what the package says, to the standard described, in the time stated on the page. Register your domain in your name. Hand over every login if you leave. Tell you when something has gone wrong before you find out yourself.

What we will not do is promise you a position in Google's results, a number of enquiries, or a level of sales. Google decides what ranks, and no supplier who tells you otherwise can back it up. What is in our control is that every signal Google reads about you is complete and correct, and that is what you are buying.

Your domain, your work

The domain is registered in your name. The site files, the content and the Google profile are yours.

If you stop paying the monthly package, what you already own stays yours. What stops is the maintenance, the hosting and the support. We will tell you before anything goes offline, with enough notice to move it.

What you need to do

Give us accurate details, and get back to us when we need something. Most delays on a job like this are a missing answer rather than a missing developer.

Do not ask us to publish anything unlawful, anything you do not have the right to use, or anything that misleads your customers. We will refuse, and say why.

If something goes wrong

Tell us. We would rather sort the problem than argue about who owns it.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited. Beyond that, our liability for any one job is limited to what you paid us for it.

Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

Changes

If these terms change, the change is dated here and it applies to orders placed after that date — not retrospectively to work you have already bought.

The questions
we actually get

Can I get a refund?

Yes. You have fourteen days to change your mind on anything you buy from us, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you asked us to start inside those fourteen days and we have already done part of the work, we can charge for the part we did — and we will tell you that before we start, not after.

Who owns the domain name?

You do. It is registered in your name, not ours. If you leave, we hand over the login details rather than holding them hostage. This is worth asking every supplier you deal with, because plenty will not answer it straight.

Is there a contract or a minimum term on the monthly package?

No. The £24.99 a month package is rolling. Cancel any month you like and it stops at the end of the month you have paid for. There is no setup fee, no exit fee and no minimum term.

Is there a contract or a minimum term on anything yearly?

Yes, on both of them. The £249 plan and the £49.90 mailbox each buy twelve months — two months cheaper than paying monthly — and each is a 12-month commitment, paid up front. Months you do not use are not refunded if you leave early. Your fourteen-day right to change your mind still applies from the day you order, exactly as it does on everything else we sell. If you would rather be able to stop whenever you like, take the monthly version: £24.99 for the plan, £4.99 for the mailbox.

Do you guarantee I will rank on page one of Google?

No, and nobody honestly can — Google decides. What we do is make sure every signal Google reads about you is complete and correct, which is the whole of what is actually in your control. Anyone promising you a position is selling you something.

What happens if I stop paying the monthly package?

The work we have already done is yours and stays yours — your domain, your Google profile, your content. What stops is us maintaining it, hosting the site and being on the end of an email. We will tell you before anything goes offline.
